Thanks for all that information Louisa Maud and Kay99. I have Grimwades on my tree living in Norton, Suffolk and farming there and when I looked on the Newspaper Archive I noticed the address in Ipswich as Norton House so thought there may be a connection. Now got to look at the  ones on my tree and see if I can connect any of them to Edward Grimwade. I do realise that there are many families of Grimwade and this may be a blind alley. Will be at SRO for a meeting on 5th April so will have a look then.

The will dated 1848 is difficult to read on Ancestry, but if you can access it then you might have some clues there, I can only read it on a very small screen having had problems with my main computer

SRO is a really nice building to work from, very peaceful,  it did when I last went have a car park at the back of the building

happy Hunting

Fantastic detail. Thanks so much amondg. Wonder why son Jordan didn't get the £50. Did he get left more or nothing at all!!??

Jordan apparently was "sharing" possible co-owners of the property in Suffolk with his father in Kesgrove. It appears they all lived in the same place.
Poll records of the 1830' show both of them in Kesgrove, although Senior was of Kelvedon.
His executors were to handle the fathers share of the crops at the time of his demise.
The son Robert also got 2 thousand pounds.
Brother Fisher Unwin got a yearly allowance of 16 pounds and if he died his wife Susannah was to get 8 pounds per year. Brother Stephen got a yearly allowance of 10 pounds and his wife (no name) was to get 8 pounds if he died before her.
The daughters also each got property they lived in  however there are paragraphs of what they could and could not do with it.
The executors are the ones who benefited most.

In 1851 census  Ipswich, Ann Unwin is 69 widowed and an annuitant, Harriet is 36 and Lydia 28.

Glad he got a share. Wasn't it the way though, that the boys got a site more than the girls!!
