Hi I am trying to upload some certificates so you can see where I am coming from.
Mary Ann Doyle seems to have had a very busy life , So maybe there were 2 Mary Ann Doyle In St Georges in the East .
However, she was the Mother of my Great Grandmother . Sarah Ann Elizabeth Doyle Born 19th March 1881 Prince Street infirmary to Mary Ann Doyle . And until Sarah Ann Married in 1899 to an Edward Bertrum Rowden age 19 at the Holy Trinity Church Middlesex .  I am not sure what Mary Ann Doyle did with her.
I have my suspicions that she was called Catherine Sarah back then , is that possible.
The Birth certificate I have for her she ordered in the 1940s to get some kind of poor relief.

I am really enjoying all your help , I am helping my elderly aunt put her family in order .
Thank you so much

How do you upload stuff having problems.

Hi AVM228
I think you are right about Mary Ann being the destitute women in 1883
This Catherine she has with her was born before she got married 19th March 1881 she married Mower in July  1881, I never know about Margaret.

She was living in Lavender place when she had Catherine which is why I put her back there in 1885 with the removal order.

But I have a birth certificate for a Henry William Mower born in 1884 father Henry Mower Mother Mary Ann Mower formerly Doyle .
Surely they never got back together

very confusing thanks for your help

Does this come from the baby's birth certificate?  Can you tell us exactly what information is on that certificate?

This is the strange thing I have a birth certificate for Sarah Ann Elizabeth Doyle born on the 19 th March 1881 To Mother Mary Ann Doyle
I know nothing about her until she gets married to Edward
Bertrum Rowden in 1899
But I also found a Catherine Sarah Doyle born on the same day to a Mary Ann Doyle living in Lavender Place
This happened before Henry Mower they married 4 months later

Is It Possible That Sarah and Catherine are the same person and that's why I have been having trouble finding her.

How can I show you the certificates I have

Don't show us the certificates (this leads to copyright problems) but if you could type out the contents of the certificates that would help us to help you.

I can only see an index entry for the birth of a Sarah Ann E Doyle in Mar qtr 1881, not a Catherine Sarah ???

Did Sarah A E Rowden/Doyle later marry Leonard Smith?  If so, have you got the marriage cert for that ceremony?  Does it give any clues as to her father?

Also, have you found her on the 1939 register?  I'm not sure whether that would add anything that you didn't already know, but it might be worth a shot.

My Aunt has everything for Sarah Ann Elizabeth Doyle after her marriage ,
She then became Rowden in 1899
She later married Joseph William Watson in 1917 after the death of Edward Bertrum
The plot thickens because the family say Sarahs real Father may have Been a Joseph Jones and he is mentioned on her marriage certificate to Joseph Watson
