I would not be surprised if Sarah & Ada had different fathers neither with the surname Allen

Yes, I too suspect different father's for Sarah Ann and Ada, also wonder if their Mom Mary was actually even married to Sarah Ann's father???  IF the father was actually known...

I can find Elizabeth and Hannah Naylor the right ages together - with parents John & hannah (but not in Earl Shilton). But no Mary that fits

This is a huge and messy mystery for sure...
There has to be an answer to where exactly Mary Allen comes from
Where her daughter Sarah Ann Allen comes from.
Where did Mary's daughter Ada go to...

And how the Elizabeth Sibson (wife of Joseph)and quite possibly maiden name Nayor fits into the scheme. Being a witness at Sarah Ann Allen's wedding .... living near by in 1891 ...

Sarah and Samuel appear married on the 1891 census in St Margaret, Leicestershire (same Parish they married)
On the 1901 in St Lawrence, Northamptonshire
On the 1911 back in Leicestershire

I know we can't give lookups for the 1911 but I can't find them in this census and wondered if you could give a clue - are any of the children with them? Has the s/name been mistranscribed? Or can I just not see for looking?

Following on from Mabel, think this is the marriage

and then you should easily find them as Hannah Staples is with them 1871.
