I have located Elizabeth in the 1861, 1871, 1881 & 1891 census but no success to date for 1851 and 1841 so have my fingers crossed someone more skilled than I can locate her.

The challenge is that to date I have been unable to locate Elizabeth's birth which seems to have been around 1825.  In the located census records her birth location is recorded as Lansallos, Cornwall, England but I cannot locate a birth around that time in that location.

Thus my thinking is to track her as far back as possible and hopefully she is with her parents in the early census records.

Elizabeth daughter of Thomas Hambly a labourer, married Nathaniel Smith [junior] 5 Aug 1851 Golant, St. Sampson. Nathaniel was a mason and son of Thomas Smith. Both Elizabeth and Nathaniel were of the parish at marriage.

Hoping for some assistance to unravel this issue that has been a brickwall for ages. ;D

Siblings of Elizabeth

1827 Mar 11, Agnis, (privately baptised Jan 2)
1829 Jul 12, Catharine (Thomas now a husbandman)
1831 Jun 19, William (Thomas a labourer again)
1833 Jun 9, Sarah
1836 Jan 3, Mary Ann

There is also a William and John HAMBLY baptising children in Lansallos at the same time period.

Elizabeth appears to be in Fowey, Cornwall in 1851, in the household of Ann LAMB, a house servant unmarried age 26, born Cornwall Lansallos. (Indexed on Ancestry as Lamaload) 34/1906/23/7.

Will see if I can find her in 1841. She is probably not at home as her sister Agnes is away from home in 1841 and she is only 14.

Can't find Mary in 1851, but she had not died as she and Thomas and daughter Susan Ann are in Lanlivery in 1861.
