If she was born in 1932 - she was only about 17 when she married

I also found that record of Ivor Edwin Jones that you found, however I believe it is incorrect as that would have made Ivor 71 and Marjorie 29 in 1961, the year my father was born. That record also does state that Ivor had a brother named Stanley which is correct,

The record I found was just a birth registration transcription and made no mention of a brother Stanley.  Ivor would have been 58 in 1961 although I agree it seems a bit old to be him

There is a birth of a Marjorie M L in the September qtr 1931 but surname was not Strangwood and she appears to be illegitimate

There is a Strangwood marriage in 1929 to the same surname so I wonder if she was adopted by a family member

You need a copy of the 1949 marriage cert

That 1931 illegitimate birth looks likely from the information so far supplied.

Marjorie re-married in December qtr 1976 in Herefordshire

Although 17 is young, I've looked again and she definitely died 26th June 2010 aged 78, so it's right. And I agree, 58 does still seem quite old but I'll continue searching. I'll have a look at the illegitimate birth as well; my father never said anything about her being adopted or illegitimate so this is surprising but will be interesting to have a look at. I have a copy of the 1949 certificate and her name is down as Marjorie M L Strangwood. I also searched for the 1976 birth you mentioned and it turns out that is accurate as she remarried in 1976 to a man whose surname was Reynolds.

I wasn't secure exactly when she died but after I saw your post I did a search and found her death was indeed registered on 26th June 2010.

What is her fathers name on the 1949 marriage cert?  Is it the same name as that on the 1929 Strangwood marriage

As I said previously, births after 1910 do not show full second names, so do not show as Ivor Edwin, but as Ivor E.   
There are lots of possible births from 1910 onwards for him, including in the 1920's and 1930's.

What is the information about his Father, and any ages on the marriage certificate?
