cause of death on a burial record please....

Could anyone tell me what the 'C' stands for on this burial record please.

It reads: Epilepsy, Drink and 'C'

"&c" is an abbreviation for "etcetera".

Thank you for the information.

I wonder what the 'etcetera' referred to?  He has already stated that she'd had an epileptic fit and it sounds as though she was drunk at the time, so presumably there must have been other things which contributed to the death!
