No. I couldn't confirm in records that Filia Jones worked at Elkstone Rectory. It may be Gloucester records office might have info re rectory staff but distance and covid have put paid to following that up for now. I did come across other records at the time re Rev Bouth but nothing proving a concrete link.

I cannot find references to Filia Quarta Jones but there are numerous genealogical records for Quarta Filia Jones. Your mention of the Welsh connection and 13 September 1881 date of birth suggests that FQJ and QFJ may be one in the same.

A Quarta Filia Jones was born in Llandilofawr, Carmarthenshire, on 24 August 1881 and died in Cardiganshire on 25 December 1969. In 1939, she was living in Teifiside, Cardiganshire, with an older gentleman but recorded as being single. She may have worked for the reverend Reginald Hampson Myddleton Bouth at Elkstone Church rectory between 1908/09.

Would you agree?

A long-shot maybe, but there may be clues in the respective wills of  Rev. Reginald Hampson Myddleton Bouth and Quarta Filia Jones?

I'm assuming also that your reference earlier in this thread to Filia Quarta Jones should have read Quarta Filia Jones. Also, suggest you re-check the dob for QFJ.

1911 Census - Arthur Jones shown as 1 year old visitor to the Durrant family resident at Weyleas Cottage, Godalming. Arthur was shown as being born in Reading, Berkshire, but with no indication as to his connection to any of the other occupants of the house. The parents were listed as Martin L. Durrant (Head) aged 41, emanating from Waldron, Sussex, and a plumber sanitary, and Edith [Ed. nee Dean] Durrant (Wife) aged 46 (suggesting a birth year of 1865), emanating from Elkstone, Gloucestershire.

JONES, ARTHUR  STANLEY     GOODMAN

The STANLEY is a "problem", not appearing in any other record:-

Arthur was shown as being born in Reading, Berkshire, but with no indication as to his connection to any of the other occupants of the house. The parents were listed as Martin L. [Ed. Luther] Durrant (Head) aged 41, emanating from Waldron, Sussex, and a plumber sanitary, and Edith [Ed. nee Dean] Durrant (Wife) aged 46 (suggesting a birth year of 1865), emanating from Elkstone, Gloucestershire.

Going by your Arthur John name there is this birth registration.

JONES, ARTHUR  JOHN     -
GRO Reference: 1910  M Quarter in HENLEY IN THE COUNTIES OF OXFORD AND BUCKINGHAM  Volume 03A  Page 975

Henley is in Berkshire.  As you can see he was illegitimate.

Added: from the freebmd website:-

The district Henley spans the boundaries of the counties of Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire;

That looks a good fit. Where do I find the illegitimacy reference?

The little dash indicates that the child's surname is the same as the mother's.  The GRO never put the mother's maiden name for an illegitimate birth as it would be the same as the child's.  This is the same record from another website:-

First name(s)   Arthur John
Last name   Jones
Birth quarter   1
Birth year   1910
Mother's maiden name   Jones
District   Henley
County   Oxfordshire
Country   England
Volume   3A
Page   975

I've put the maiden name in bold.  You may wish to consider obtaining it, it is available from the GRO as a pdf, cost £7.
