I've been back to Lichfield, and looked at the correct parish register this time.  ;D ;D

Stanton by Bridge:

17 May 1819 - baptism of Elizabeth, daughter of Francis (Labourer) and Elizabeth Granger of Stanton.

Born 16 February 1829, baptised 31 May 1831 - John, son of William (Labourer) and Elizabeth (late Grainger) Taylor of Stanton.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Thank you for clearing this up, BumbleB.

So, we still need the age of Elizabeth when she married William in 1835.  Obviously Elizabeth Granger baptised 1819 was too young to be the mother of John 1829, unless she was baptised years after her birth?
