Balmer of tarbolton

Hit a brick wall in my searching and need help

Known: James Balmer b.4/4/1854 in Tarbolton d.31/12/1927
married Agnes Hewitt ( spelling may vary) b. 4/5/1855 in Kilmaurs d.20/5/1909 on 10/12/1875.

They lived in tarbolton at Carn gillan Cottage where he was a road surface man.They had 7 daughters.

The last 2 are known to me but I need help tracing descendants of any of the others and parent/grandparents of James and Agnes.

Who can help me any further, pleeeeezzzzz

Do you have the details of James & Agnes marriage in 1875. which would give parentage details? Also Agnes' birth is in 1855, the year when birth certs gave a wealth of information on the parents and other siblings etc?

On C81 is the following family which could be related - there is a theme between father's occupation and name of daughter Lilias. Could be James' father, or a much older brother.
