Hi
Just for your info the PR's for St Nicholas Islip do not begin until 1590 and they can be viewed on Oxfordshire Family History Society CD OXF-BIC01 should you wish to purchase the Cd then contact the OFHS.

I have that CD and sadly for you there are no Bowricks in either Baptisms, Marriages, Banns, nor Burials

I have just had a look in the Marriage Index 1538 - 1837 and no male nor female Bowbricks in there either
Are you sure Oxfordshire is the place to look?

Hi NDRFT :)
 Thank you.
I have found a Christening for Richard Boubrick F: Thomas 2/4/1594. Islip Oxfordshire FHL film 887482 1590-1641. The spelling of Bowbrick ,Boubrick or Bobrick . it is possible Thomas was not born in Islip. That is all I have to go on!
Thank you for the info on the CD you saved me some money! :) I have been down to Islip and the church(3 hour drive) nice part of England. All the best Bruce.

Hi
Interesting
I have the PR's open on my adjoining screen and the transcribed PR's have the baptism as

1594
Apr 2 BANNBRICK Richard reputed s Thomas

So I am not surprised I did not find it earlier. So utlilising a complete random spelling of the last name is this a possibility of yours?

Marriage
1625
Oct 2 Williams Wiiliam
         Bandrike Anne

Still nothing else even random in Banns, Baptism nor burials.

Islip is nice - I know the area very well, born and bred Oxfordshire.
