Uniform help again please James Robertson Gibson born Jedburgh 1895.
« on: Wednesday 20 April 16 13:34 BST (UK) »
Good Afternoon

I am hoping that you may be able to help identify the uniform that this handsome chap is wearing, I believe it may be the same as you helped me with yesterday (Thomas Middlemist).

This chap I believe is his stepson James Robertson Gibson born Jedburgh 1895.

Regards
Moo

The only hope I can see is with his collar badge - a cross.

Was your man married to Margaret Burns in 1913?

I am Zoe Northeast, granddaughter of Maximilian Double.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
Zoe

Could be Prince of Wales feathers. Regiments stopped using collar badges during WW1, and from his age looks to be early 1920s. If so his record will still be with the MOD.

I'm afraid this is the best I can get, and that rules my feeble effort of trying to find the regiment right out of the window lol.
