The 1848 death is George Senior's (1790-1860) Wife

I'd assumed that the George Womack who died in East Dereham, aged 72 in 1860, was the retired cabinet maker living in Dereham Road, Heigham in 1851, aged 61 born Cambridge. But his wife Elizabeth was with him. Have I got the wrong George?  Or did he remarry?

EDIT - have now seen the 1848 death announcement re the cabinet maker's wife Elizabeth.

The Elizabeth Womach wife of George Womach who died in 1848 was living in Charing Cross, Norwich -so I wonder if this is the family in 1841 living at Charing Cross, Norwich  - None born in County

Witnesses David gauge Thorn and Caroline Strech

There is a death for David Gauge Thorne in Newton Abbot in 1864 and I've just posted about this on the "Where is Bearley" thread.

The other witness name I read as Caroline Street.

Yes, that's part of the family; they're quite fragmented in their Norwich incarnation.

If posters start multiple threads, why don't they tell everyone?

Why do those willing to help have to keep doing searches to see if posters have started another thread?

I will leave "Bugbear" to search for my repl(y/ies) on this and/or any other site.

This thread had come to a natural (and reasonable) end; when I started the "Bearley" thread, I included a link to this thread in the first post.

I'm intrigued as do what more you think I could/should have done.

Finding her census data for 1851 and 1861 is high on my list of ambitions.

Have you seen the 1851 census entry for an Elizabeth Womack in Leeds? Born Ipswich, Suffolk, a saleswoman in a lace business. The age is a bit under (27). 34 Commercial Street.

Since I don't (yet) believe Warwickshire to be "true" I didn't think it appropriate.
