I have a baptism for Robert Charles Pasley in Somerset on 15/6/1841. I am wondering if he was born there as he has strong connections in India and lived there a good part of his life.
Any help appreciated.

I would say he was born there going by the information in the census forms 1851civil parish Lyncombe Widcome Sumerset
Amelia Pasley age 40 born East Indies B S ....Head
Edward William Pasley b 6 March 1836 baptised 6 April 1836'Hazareebough Bengal India
Anne Jane Pasley b 1839 age 12
Robert C Pasley 1842 age 9
Amelia Pasley 1846 baptism Lyncombe

The family are in the 1841 census Lyncombe Widcome seems to be the older sibblings that were born in India

Don't know if you have this information father Gilbert John Pasley married Amelia 3 February 1831 Kurnaul he died 11 May 1846 at 13 Macauley Buildings Widcome age 48 he was Lieut Col. Burial Somerset

Was also about to say - There is a  Male Pasley birth registered in Jun Qtr 1841  Bath Reg District 11 33 which includes Lyncombe and Widcombe??   Maybe they hadn't decided on a name when he was registered??

If it not too much to ask the wife of Robert Charles was Eliza Thomson or Thompson. She married  Robert in New Zealand but I have 2 queries:
1. Where was she born?
2. Was her maiden name Thomson or Thompson.
I have had little success finding any early information.  I have lots after her marriage.

In the 1841 census there is a male name N/K 12days old born Somerset England

I am afraid the only K I recognise is Robert's     mother who was Amelia Kennedy.
