If it not too much to ask the wife of Robert Charles was Eliza Thomson or Thompson. She married  Robert in New Zealand but I have 2 queries:
1. Where was she born?
2. Was her maiden name Thomson or Thompson.
I have had little success finding any early information.  I have lots after her marriage.

Not sure what information is given on certificates in New Zealand regarding names for Eliza's parents I see by her death age she would have been born about 1848

Just to add a brother John James Thomson is mentioned in her will

Maybe worth a look on www.family search.org for the will of John James Thomson 1933 mentions Eliza and a few other family members which might help in tracing her birth and parents
