I have now added the William/Elizabeth(Nunn) children to my tree for assistance in analysing the other James and hopefully to get some links to other trees.
Unfortunately the trees showing up are not good - Censuses with different birthplace, death in Utah ( the USans are really desperate to link to UK :-)  )

Have you looked for any of the marriages of James and Emeritas children, to see if their son James is a witness in any of them?

Not been into their marriages yet .. good thought though.
Would need to order a lot of certs.

Thanks for the Lewisham hint .. validated and censuses included in my tree including fanny from Yorkshire.  That eliminates one James for me !
