The only marriage of a Henry Largey in Belfast between 1906 and 1910 was on 12th April 1909 to a Mary O'Neill.
Sandra, I'm confused, when you say Hugh Largey, do you mean Henry Largey?
And is the Pauline Jane Largey an additional child from the 4 listed in post 4 or is she the one listed as Palma Largey?

Paul.

The only Henry Largey born in Belfast in the period 1886 to 1890 was born on 30th April 1888.For some reason Henry has given his DOB on his WW1 registration card as 30th April 1889!!

Variations in years for date of birth seems very common back then, especially with immigrants.

Paul.

He was Harry Largely - sorry my mistake - trying to multi task and talk on the phone at the same time.  ::)

Palma is Pauline.

The passenger list for 31 July 1910 would indicate that Hugh Largey was born in Belfast - Liverpool - New York on the Celtic- car driver -  mother Jane Largey 60 Gardiner Street Belfast. Going to friend Thomas Hutchinson 560 Main Street Paterson NJ.

Mary Largey born 1890 and aged 20 years travelling on the Furnessia arriving 4 Oct 1910 - housekeeper - going to same address as above.
Mary Largey (sister) born 1891 and aged 19 years also travelling

Sandra

This seems to be the Largey family on the 1911 Census - 60 Gardiner Street - same as the passenger list.

Immigration dates are not an exact science - very often they can be recorded wrongly.  The chap on the WW1 Draft could very well be the one who appeared to be the same as the one in reply 4.

Referring to the 1901 Ireland Census again -

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Antrim/Woodvale_Ward/Gardiner_Street/1006788/

This looks like the same family on the 1911 Ireland Census

http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Antrim/Smithfield_Ward/Townsend/162964/

Patrick Largey is 2 years old born 1898 - A New York Passenger List shows a Patrick Largey arriving 7 December 1915 on the Cameronia - Glasgow to New York - single - fitters apprentice - mother Mrs Largey 5 Townsend Street Belfast. Also travelling Rose Ann Toal aged 31 years with a daughter Jane Toal aged 5 years and a son Henry Toal age 4. Rose listed Mrs Largey as her mother and the 2 children there grandmother.
Patrick was going to brother Henry Largey 615 North Street NJ. Rose was going to her husband HUgh Foal, 5 Highland Avenue. Kearny. NJ.

Patrick is the brother of Harry/Henry Largey.
