Okay, thank you very much.  Thomas' father was noted as John, a cordwainer, on his marriage certificate.  I do think it may be John David from Laleston. I just can't find any evidence to prove this. Thomas was born about 1828, in Llanblethian.

I also have Evan and John in the same Welsh family.

I notice that the Thomas David b. Llanblethian son of Evan and Gwenllian has a sister Mary bap. 5th October 1824. No address or occupation of Evan. Perhaps if you could get Mary's marriage and birthplace from a Census it could give  a clue.
