Dempsey

I am really stuck with my husband's grandfather's family - can anyone help please His name was Felix Dempsey born 1869 in Dublin.  In 1891 he lived Colne, Lancashire with mother Mary b. 1834 Dublin and sister Mary b. 1865 Dublin - who was his father and where was he inbetween

I have had a look on BVRI there is a lot for Dempsey but none for Felix

Thanks anyway - I suppose Mary is too common a name to look for marriages - will have to write this one off I think. - Maureen

the only Dempsey to a Mary around the right time scale in Dublin

Thanks for that,  the dates look about right - I thought there would be lots of Marys it was a common name around then  So now I have to find the two Williams marriages - what fun

Why not check the birth indexes for Felix? They are available in the Dublin GRo and on film at  your local family history centre
