Per his merchant navy seaman's ticket, Henry Ansell joined the Royal Navy as a 2nd Class Boy in 1837 and had served 9 years by September 1845. Born 23 September 1822 at Woolvercote, when unemployed resides at Oxford Street, London.

This is fantastic!  Thank you all so much. 

You've solved the mystery of why we could never find William Ansell.  All these years we thought he was born in Ireland.  He must not have been. 

I called my parents and read them all the messages, they were so excited. 
Thank you from both of them as well.  We really appreciate the help you've all given us.
