Schools collection

Have been transcribing, on a site www.duchas.ie a collection of stories collected around 1937/8 by Irish school children from 'older' members of their district.  Have been working on Ballina mainly and some interesting information is contained as it lists the person who 'told' the story, their age and where they lived, very handy for checking years of birth and locations.  You can search by people, place and surnames and most (if not all) counties are covered. Happy hunting.

There is a thread on the Ireland Board, but we could all do with a reminder.

Great fun to read quite apart from the info gleaned from them.
