Hi,

Just had another look and it seems the death of the "Llanllechid" Griffith Morris was in 1822 and not 1832 which makes it a possibility.

However there are the following details showing on familysearch which look equally promising -
Elizabeth baptised 11/2/1809; Sarah baptised 29/11/1814; and Humphrey baptised 11/9/1803 - all in Bangor.
Also the death of a Griffith Morris in Bangor (born c1772, burial 6/8/1829 age 57 in Bangor)  - perhaps this is your man?

The abode of Griffith Morris who died in 1829 was Pendre.

The abode of Anne Morris who died in 1834, age 63, was also Pendre.

Thank you for pointing that out Tall Al, the burial date should have read 1822 not 1833 as I had put, I have been back to check it. So sorry for that mistake, must have been having a senior moment.

Thank you for this.
Where exactly is Pendre please, and how far from Bangor is it?

Regards.  :) ;)

Thank you,

I did find a Griffith Morris who was baptized in 1771 at Newborough, Anglesey.

From find my past Anglesey baptisms image:

"Griffith, the illegitimate son of Robert Morris of Tyn(?) Coed Llangristiolus(?), and Jane, daugh of Tho Ow (Thomas Owen?). Smith. Newborough. Jan 2nd.":

https://search.findmypast.co.uk/record?id=GBPRS%2FWAL%2F4393224%2F00469&parentid=GBPRS%2FB%2F910128705%2F1

This might be the same Robert "of Llangristiolus" who married Catherine Williams by licence at Abberfraw, on the 20th of August 1773.

I had no luck at all though in trying to find a Griffith Morris getting married to an Ann.

William Henshaw and Elizabeth had a son called George Owen Henshaw in 1836. He died on the "SS Indomitable" while in the army coming back from India in 1858.

Regards.  :) ;)
