Thomas Daniel Duly was born in 1835 in Ore, Hastings, son of John Duly & Mary.
He was a carpenter.
Thomas' 6th child was Arthur who named his father on his marriage in 1901.
I found Thomas in the censuses 1861-1891 with a wife Emily and children.
There is a marriage on FreeBMD 1856/2 Hastings 2b/32 of Thomas Daniel Duly to either Emily WHITE or Emily ELDRIDGE.
On the censuses with Thomas, wife Emily is shown as born in Hastings abt 1830.
I found a baptism 2 Feb 1828 Hastings, Emily, daughter of George White and Ann, both b Hastings.
Is anyone researching this family?
It appears that George White married Ann WHITE on 2 Mar 1813 Hastings. (M148073)
George was a mariner.
I know the marriage certificate of Thomas and Emily might show what I need to know but am doing this research for someone else and have not asked yet to buy the certificate as I should be able to do it without - to a certain extent.
The other fact that makes me think Thomas married Emily White is that in 1891 she and Thomas were in Stroud Glos. RG12/2025/67/7
And in 1851, Emily was with her parents in Hastings where there was a visitor from Stroud, a married coachbuilder aged 35 John Milas? Not been successful so far in tracking him down. HO107/1635/400/10
