Indeed, given that I grew up there in railway families, you'd have thought I should have mentioned that. The rail network around Crewe did get hit 2/3 times but nothing major. Rolls Royce got hit once or twice (can't remember) and it probably sticks in my mind more because my Dad was watching out of their back window as the single Junkers came over and dropped its (well aimed) bomb. But compared to other paces, we got off absurdly lightly, though I don't suppose the relatives of those killed quite thought of it in those terms.
