173 Westgate, Guisborough - 1941

Hi Everyone
I am searching for the dwelling as 173 Westgate, Guisborough, September 1941, I have used google maps but cannot be certain which is 173, I can find 169, then a named dwelling on the end then some other dwellings across the road end, there appears to be what once was a doorway, also if I google the address it brings it up as a business but cannot find anything on the map for this
Can anyone assist me please.

Using the Post Office Postcode finder No. 173 no longer exists, 171 and 175 do.
Looking at Google Earth 171 can be seen on the corner of Westgate and Wilson St. The number is etched in the glass above the door. On the other side of Wilson Street is house which appears to combine a double fronted property and a single fronted one, this is followed by a shop which also looks like a double fronted and a single one, this is followed by a building with the number 181 painted on it. So between 171 and 181 should be 173,175, 177, and 179, a total of 4 properties which can be taken care of by a double and single house followed by a double and a single shop suggesting that as expected 173 was the first double house on the west corner of Westgate and Wilson Street.

Hi johndwadsworth, many thanks, I did see the alteration with the doorway and you have confirmed that alterations have taken place, I have great difficulty with eyesight at making out numbers on dwellings on google at times, thank you, at least I know where she lived.
