Trying to find a birth around 1920
« on: Thursday 21 July 05 16:01 BST (UK) »
Is it possible to find a birth around 1920?  The FreeBMD seems to end about 1911.  I am trying to find a Marion Elcock born around that time in Dudley?

Your best bet is to put a request on one of the Worcestershire mailing lists & see if anyone will do a look up for you at the Worcester History Centre

Good Luck

All the very best

Fabtastic! Was the father mentioned?  I presume he was registered as the lady was given his surname.  Well anyway fantastic, how did you find it do you have special access to something or could I look as well?

www.1837online.com has the full index from 1837 - it is a subscription site but not too badly priced

father's names are not in the index only mother's maiden name and that only from 1911 i think - if you arder the certificate - from gro which you can do via 1837 online site that will give you more info ie address and parents full names - good luck - Nikki
