Wow. This is all very incredible and hard to believe. I never thought I would find my ancestors. I know my great grandfather Harry Stansfield ins buried in Melbourne. He is the son of Arthur and Sarah Stansfield (Watson). Arthur's father was Oliver Stansfield. Arthur had a brother named John Waring Stansfield and two sisters, Rhoda Stansfield and Ann Watson Stansfield.  I am really trying to find out when they moved to Australia. I have a feeling Arthurs father, Oliver, never moved to Australia but Arthur did with his children as Rhoda died in Australia.

Hi everyone. Just to let you know, I've made contact with Benji Stansfield.
Oliver Stansfield and Rhoda Carter had 10 children, 2 of those 10 children, (Arthur and Oliver junior) immigrated to Australia. Benji is of the Arthur line and I am of the Oliver line.
We are now swapping stories and historical family photos (The first photo I sent him was a photo of my mother with his grandfather in their swimming togs at the beach, brilliant photo). We are planning to meet up in person. All very excited.
So thanks to RootsChat it has not only linked information it has linked up people!
Cheers and thanks to everyone.

Hi Amity and Benji,

It's always nice to hear people have been put in touch with each other and happy to have helped if only in a very small way.

Cheers, Ian
