If that is correct Sandra that is a good find!
That location is @1km from Leeds city centre and @12km from Idle as the crow flies.

Thank you Sandra, Brian and Ian.
I really appreciate everyone taking time out of their day to help me.
Your suggestions have given me some new paths to take, the trail is warming up again.
The photograph I have shows people standing outside a building, it looks like red brick (yes I know that would narrow the possibility of buildings down to about every Mill building ever built), I'm happy to share the photograph with youall if that would help, I have 2 photographs, though these photographs are over 100 years old possibly you "local" folk may have seen faces in these photos in other historical photos which may lad to a new line of inquiry.
Being new to this would this be the done thing or should I keep the photograph under wraps?

I can't see any harm in you showing the photographs as they are 'over a hundred years old'. If they are local to us we may recognise the buildings.

I'm not a techno whiz, I can't work out how to put the photo on here, yes you can all have a laugh at my expense it's probably simple.

I've had another look at Chadwick Bros in the newspapers and it looks like they moved premises before 1907.

In 1907 they were advertising for experienced menders, apply to Chadwick Bros (Ltd), Hunslet Mills, Leeds.  There are pictures on the internet of Hunslet Mills so you may be able to compare them with your photographs.  It seems likely that if they were taken in 1908 they would have been at Hunslet rather than Perseverance Mills.  If you google Chadwick Brothers Hunslet Mills there are some great pictures.

A bit of background information on the Directors too.

John Collinge Chadwick of the West Yorkshire Regiment (Leeds Rifles) was killed in France on 25 March 1917 http://www.harrogatepeopleandplaces.info/ww1/soldiers/c/chadwick-john.htm

His brother, James Collinge Chadwick, was found drowned in the Thames at Rotherhithe in October 1924.

James's fellow director at Chadwick Bros, John William Haigh, was found hanged on 27 July 1938 in his room at the Coronation Hospital, Ilkley.

Just confirming that 2 photos arrived from Aus, nothing to identify the location though.

Brian,
Not sure what you mean by nothing to identify location, do you mean the actual photo doesn't have enough of the building showing to identify the actual building?
If so I agree with that, it could be any mill, the only way I know it is Chadwick Bros. is by the sign on the wall.
And do you mean "photo option gone walk about" do you mean I couldn't put them on the message board because the option to do this isn't there?
