Control Commission - Germany

As already discussed in a separate thread, my father served in the RAF during WW2 and was in both India and Burma, though at this stage I don't know quite what his role was. However, the last posting shown on his discharge paper was Control Commission-Germany.
I would be very interested to hear anything about the Control Commission that the rootschatters may know.

The Control Commission was concerned with the administrative governance of post war Germany.
You could say equivalent to the Civil Service although many were military or ex military.
