Workington photographer named Henderson

I have some photos I am struggling to identify. They were taken by R. Henderson, 45 Washington St, Workington. Can anyone tell me what dates he was operating between, please? claytonbradley

Henderson's photographers no longer exists and no records have survived apparently.

The business was located in a single storey timber building on Washington
street, almost opposite St. John's Church, which became quite derelict after
the proprietors death in the 1970's.

Perhaps this is the Robert Henderson born 28 December 1897 and who passed away September 1973 - Cockermouth Registration District. Married a Martha McMail  - May 1918 - Cockermouth Registration District - 10b 1214
A few ancestry trees but none to say if this was the photographer

Robert Henderson was born in 1857 - so might be a little earlier than the time frame you are searching.

Thank you very much for all those references. One of my phots is overstamped The universal reproduction 11 Great?? St Glasgow, so that reference was interesting. You have given me dates bef 1881 to aft 1911. That was the time span I was looking at, so I am still not sure who the people are. I thought they were O'Donnells, but I have got in touch with their descendants and they say the pictures are not of O'Donnells. Thank you for all the information, claytonbradley
