What is Ann's Occupation
« on: Friday 24 June 16 07:16 BST (UK) »
From a 1851 census, I have Ann Farr as a silk ?throwster?

Could some one please advise me if this is correct, or am I seeing it wrong.

Also, any ideas as to what the work would entail?

throwster

noun: throwster;

Sue: thank you very much for your prompt reply.

I THOUGHT that was the word, but was totally unsure, and also had no idea what it entailed.

Again, many thanks for your help.
