I have not been able to trace their Birth certs in either Scotland or Englandor on the 1901 census????

However I do know that when his son died in 1903 from his first marriage I assume he was on a minesweeper as a RNVR [I have a number] his son died at "Institution Larbert Naval Residence" and was registered by an attendant

Hi Kenjo

Here's the family in 1861 -

1861 census
Living at Myton, Holy Trinity, Kingston upon Hull, Yorkshire.

Frances Dinsley
b. abt 1804, London
Head, Widow, occ: formerly Laundress

Elizabeth Clerk
b. abt 1830, London
Niece, Married, occ: Dressmaker

Caroline Turff
b. abt 1833, London
Daughter, Married, occ:  Milliner.

Robert N Turff
b. abt 1856, London
Son, Scholar.

William H Turff
b. abt 1858, Hull
Son

Walter C Turff
b. abt 1860, Hull
Son

Frances' surname is difficult to read on both censuses - it's transcibed as Densley in the 1871 which looks wrong (Dawley looks more accurate), but in the 1861 it does look more like Dinsley.
