Arthur Leary/O'Leary and family born 1819

Greetings,

After years of seeking and not finding I may have just found a helpful clue.

1851: I have Arthur Leary in King St, St Georges East, Middlesex, England on the 1851 census.

His information is: Widower age 32 born 1819 and a carpenter. He is the cousin of someone in the household, those being the Donovan's and the McLean's.

1861: On the '61 census he is married to Johannah (nee Murphy) , aged 39 born 1822, and they have daughter Mary 15 born 1846 in Ireland, with them. I have now just found Catherine Leary visiting elsewhere aged 18 born 1843 in Waterford, Ireland.

I believe Mary and Catherine to be daughters from the first marriage of Arthur.

I also can't find a marriage in England for Arthur and Johanna, so I think he may have gone back to collect the girls and marry Johannah.

Arthur and Johannah had their first child, in England in 1953.

Any information on would be greatly appreciated.

I have the following information that I hope shows a link to Arthur. I believe that this Mary was the informant on the death certificate of Johannah.

I made an error in the first post 1953 should read 1853.

Thank you very much for these. I will get onto the computer later to look at dates as I'm not sure if this is suggesting that Joan is Arthur's first wife or whether it is supposed to the second on

Added: I've just read the PM and realise it would be his first wife.

What a shame his occupation wasn't on the marriage information.

Now a death for Joan Leary before 1851 would be useful.

I've just realised that information provided is listed as Co Cork and not Waterford.
