Masters/Moran in Reach Township, Manchester
« on: Friday 08 July 16 15:58 BST (UK) »
I'm at a bit of a roadblock.

According to my records, Aaron Masters (later McMaster) married Mary before 1871. Their children's birth and marriage records suggest that her maiden name could have been Moren, Moran, Morne, Moore, Movan, or Ward. However, I have not been able to locate a marriage record for Aaron and Mary or a death record for Mary to indicate her birth name or parents.

According to census records she was born in Ireland and was a member of the Presbyterian church. The 1901 census suggests that she was born on 3 Mar 1846.

Children from this marriage include: Frederick McMaster, Charlotte (nee McMaster) Lee, John McMaster, Eliza McMaster, James McMaster, Mary (nee McMaster) Riley and Alice Rose (nee McMaster) Devaney.

Thanks, that's great! It's interesting that her mother's maiden name was Ward. It is a name I have seen on other records

Unfortunately, I have not been able to find John Moran or Mary Ward.
