There is a CH Merry in the 1984 phone book for Leeds. Not in the Hyde Park area.

I think Hyde Park is the studenty bit of Leeds these days.

Is the road Bridewell rather than Bridwell?

Is C.H. Merry  male or female?    Try to find  what the C and the H   represent.

I would hazard a guess at Christopher Hugh Merry who would have been about 19 years old.  He became a doctor.  His father Alexander was a vicar.

I can`t find that address though.  Could it be Brudenell Road?
