It is a death entry for a 5 yr old girl who died in a house fire, Lucy's mother lived with Hephzibah Knight and her husband Edgar. The extended Knight family lived on Kilner bank too.
The childs baptism record states Emily Windle as mother ..... come her burial record daughter of a 'somebody' knight.
Mum always said their was some scandle re this child, but she doesn't know what.
We are now going round the bend trying to find out who the Knight is on her burial record.

When i say scandle, that is maybe the wrong word but their was some sort of 'cover up' or secret we just don't know what it was.

Perhaps Lucy's death certificate may throw more light on this, which is discussed further here.

I have my own 'guess' but don't want to say, see if anyone else comes up with the same name. It's a name i have never come accross in my own tree, but i haven't gone far along the branches !!

As I suggested, perhaps you should invest in the death certificate for Lucy and also perhaps her birth certificate.
