Connection between tragic incident and court case?

There are no Worcestershire burials for 1835 on FindMyPast for surname Stephens or variants.

Maybe he didn't come from there and was buried back at home.  No monumental inscription either.

Thank you Pheno. That is a real mystery. I’ll have to refresh my reading, perhaps his body wasn’t recovered. If he was moved then perhaps to Herefordshire or Gloucestershire perhaps.

I did check 5 years either side of 1835.  Even if buried elsewhere the death should be registered in Worcestershire as that is where he died.
