Legacy 8.0
« on: Tuesday 19 July 16 18:16 BST (UK) »
I currently run Legacy 7.0 on my desktop computer which runs on Windows XP. I am considering upgrading to Legacy 8.0 but on my laptop which runs on Windows 7.

Is it possible to transfer the mass of data between the two versions and, given the different operating systems, how would one go about it?

Many thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

I don't use that specific program, but software like that should have the ability to export data to a file (eg. a Gedcom), which you can put on a stick. If you go to File, there should be an export option.

If you save it to your external drive, it is an easy matter of running your new program on Win7, inserting the drive, going to File in your new Legacy8 and Import.

You should then be able to navigate to the drive and Import your Gecom.
