Oh dear, I've gone off on a wild goose chase haven't I with George and Jane Francis in Llanguicke.
Have a look at the these censuses in 1861 and 1871 though. Obviously not mine, but I thought you'd be interested.
1861 census, RG9/4091/48/p24 & p25. A Francis family are at Graigarw? Llanguick, Glam.
George 35, Tinplate Assorter, born Llanfrechfa, Mon.
Jane 34, born Mon, Mynyddislwyn.
Mary 9, born Glam, Eglwysilan.
William 7, born Aberystruth.
Margaret 2, born Mon, Aberystruth?
1871 census, RG10 /5436/41/p23 has family at a Chandelier Shop, Llanguick.
George 54, Tallow Chandelier, born Llanerchfa, Mon. (Llanfrechfa?)
Jane 44, born Mynyddislwyn, Mon.
Margaret 12, born Abertillery.
Charles 6, born Llanguick.
This Census has father of Head as George Francis 65, Tinman, born Llanerchfa?
1851 marriage record has George’s father as William.
And of course in 1861 Jane Francis is a widow.
It’s as though there is a duplicate family. Maybe the two Georges are cousins.
The Jones family immigrated to Oz at the end of 1861.
