Hi all, thanks for your help, I think we are making progress.
Not sure I can back this up though:
I think William (20 in 1841) would fit in as father of the younger Mary (with Rebecca Edwards).

On their marriages, Jane and Mary No1 both give father as Daniel deceased.
I have a Daniel 1778 – 1833 that would fit as their father, and possible brother to Thomas.
Daniel married Martha Lewis 1810 at Bedwellty, St Sannan.

I have found baptism records for the following Plummers; Edward 1772, Mary 1774, David 1775, Rachel 1777, Daniel 1778, Charles 1780, all at Eglwysilan, Glam. Parents William and Jennet.
Transcripts for baptisms at Bedwellty, St Sannan offer; Thomas 1768, William 1770. Father William.

At her marriage to James Warren in 1862, Rhoda states her father to be Thomas Plummer.
If only we could find births / baptisms for those children.

Keyboard, that 1863 marriage has thrown the proverbial spanner.
I thought I had George and Jane Francis through to 1891 at Llanguicke, Glam.

Keyboard.
Thanks for reminding me, of course George Francis had died before 1861 census hadn't he.
So your 1863 marriage is good.

Oh dear, I've gone off on a wild goose chase haven't I with George and Jane Francis in Llanguicke.
Have a look at the these censuses in 1861 and 1871 though. Obviously not mine, but I thought you'd be interested.
1861 census, RG9/4091/48/p24 & p25. A Francis family are at Graigarw? Llanguick, Glam.
George 35, Tinplate Assorter, born Llanfrechfa, Mon.
Jane 34, born Mon, Mynyddislwyn.
Mary 9, born Glam, Eglwysilan.
William 7, born Aberystruth.
Margaret 2, born Mon, Aberystruth?
1871 census, RG10 /5436/41/p23 has family at a Chandelier Shop, Llanguick.
George 54, Tallow Chandelier, born Llanerchfa, Mon. (Llanfrechfa?)
Jane 44, born Mynyddislwyn, Mon.
Margaret 12, born Abertillery.
Charles 6, born Llanguick.

This Census has father of Head as George Francis 65, Tinman, born Llanerchfa?

1851 marriage record has George’s father as William.
And of course in 1861 Jane Francis is a widow.
It’s as though there is a duplicate family. Maybe the two Georges are cousins.

The Jones family immigrated to Oz at the end of 1861.
Sorry you were chasing shadows with them.
Should I put a link to the other post on the Breconshire forum?

It's the Plummer baptisms that are my main interest.

:) Well at least you admit a misread census/thoughts for Jane /Martha 1861, so?  where is Martha Francis in 1871 onwards, and death/remarriage for Jane Thomas nee Plummer?

Maybe the baptism records you/we require have not been transcribed yet?

I'm not sure about the age gap - there's a death announcement for Mrs Elizabeth Plummer of Llanhilleth in 1879, aged 95. The 1841 & 1851 would have her as about 83 in that year
Mabel where can I find the death announcement please.
