Hi, and welcome  :)

There is an adult baptism in 1940 for Raymond Albert Osmond, son of Robert William John
Osmond and the late Phyllis May Cadogan. Raymond b. July 10, 1920, baptized June 16, 1940.
It is the same church as the burial record for father Robert, St. Georges Anglican, Ste. Anne de
Bellevue, Quebec.

Cheers,
DB

Hi,

Just having a look to see if I could find a death for Raymond, and came across the
death of Esther Agnes Johnstone, d. 1971 Mount Royal cemetery, Montreal.

Thank you so much for the information on Raymond but in some ways it confuses the issue. When Raymond went to Canada, he gave his father as RWJ and his mother as Violet Wakeman but I do have a record of RWJO having a wife Phyliss Osmond, this was made on Passengers Declaation made on the 13/9/1920. Unfortunately it was not very copy.

You have given some new leads to follow

Hello.

It doesn't actually give the relationship of Violet in the manifest. It says Mrs J. R. Wakeman with the J. R. crossed out and Violet written in above. FreeBMD has a marriage in Wolverhampton in 1904 with John Richard Wakeman and Violet Phillips on the same page. Wolverhampton is the location given for Violet in the manifest so this record may be related to that. She may have been a caregiver?

PB

Added: you should be able to trace Violet in the 1911 UK census (we aren't permitted to post the info on here).
We search for information but it is up to the thread owner to verify that it is correct.

Thanks again. I have traced a birth of a Raymond Cadogan in July 1920 and I now will attempt to obtain a Birth Certificate from the Registry Office in the next couple of days. RWJO life is fascinating, and there is so much still to discover.

Thanks again
