Can anyone advise me as to wether burial records for Canada are available anywhere?
I am looking for burials for Charles Witty and Maria his wife.  They had 6 chldren in the UK, Mary Ann, Joseph, Jane Ann, David, William & Sarah, and two more in Melbourne, Quebec, John 19/12/1831 & Catherine 31 Oct 1833.

This shows Charles Witty , farmer , 60 , born England ,  Joseph Witty 20 b England, John Witty 20 and Catherine Witty 17 , both born Canada. Maria Witty is not listed so may have died .

I may be wrong about this death. There is a Charles Witty/ Watty , wife Ann Jane , in Etobicoke in 1851, born 1801 , and on the 1871 says born 1791. He could also fit .

The Ontario Charles Witty can also be found in the same location in 1861. He was a Carpenter/Builder whereas the Charles in Quebec was a farmer. I suspect the Ontario Charles is a different one.

BMD's for Quebec, as Baptisms, Marriages, and Burials, are available on Ancestry in the Drouin Collection. This is accessible with a Canadian or World Sub. You would also have access through your local public library if it subscribes to the Ancestry library edition. These are parish records.

That being said, I don't see a burial for Charles or Maria at the moment. In Quebec Maria may have been buried under her maiden name.

Thank you both very much for this information.  The record from the IGI death Otobicoke is the right one i have been looking for as he was born Hull, illigitimate son of Catherine Witty.
