I thought the writing said.  Lounge bar.

Mike

That's a good call, definitely a pub then.

Shades of a misspent youth, usually drank in the vaults.

Aaahh, Lounge Bar, I can see it now.

All this talk of pubs has forced me to steal one of O/H's beers from the fridge  ;D

So we know it is a pub, with a lounge bar, at number 90 somewhere. Possibly with a doorman, although would a doorman have his hands in his pockets?  I wonder if it is a well known one, otherwise why take a photo?

I've been looking at the inscriptions below the bow window above the door.  I can clearly see AD in the one section, but does it read 97 in the other - if so maybe built in 1897.

Added: Sorry typo, changed it to 97

It's not a very wide pavement is it - a side street rather than a main road?

There is a heart on the section below the bow window, and also a heart on each of the small windows of the Off Sales.  I wonder if this is a clue to the name of the Pub - White Heart, Golden Heart etc.
