Margaret Melbourne Bate Croft/Winwick/Warrington

Oooh! Now... hiding at the bottom of the 1851 Census for Joseph Ashbrook, Margaret and their children is a Mary Melbourne, Joseph's aunt, and on the next page, which I didn't check either is a John Melbourne, Joseph's cousin.aged 20 so born in 1831 in Newton (in) le Willows... Could it mean her Aunt rather than his? Or are they possibly cousins? I don't think I have a Melbourne link on Josephs side as yet...

I think Lucy Parents were Willia Milburn and Sarah Hume married 1797 (Anc)

I am having trouble with Anc, so havent looked at any Census for Joseph/Margaret.

Is Mary Melbourne born c 1801?
Is she unm?
If so she is Margarets Mother Lucys Sister

Just got in to 1851 Census and yes that ties it up nicely. Mary is Margarets Aunt

John Lythgoe and Thomas Walker witness a lot of weddings, they must have been church wardens or something surely!

What do we think Mary's age and occupation are? She's with them in 1861 too aged 55 and a farm servant. The extract below is the 1851 census.

Cant find William/Margaret in 1841 yet but they seem to have 2 Children (LancsOPC)
