Adoptions - Family Tree Maker

HI All.
I have a Family tree maker and need some advice as where or how to record adoptions. Belfast beau.
Irwin. Limavady / Coleraine/Belfast.
Harvey. Liverpol / Dublin/ Belfast.
Hewitt. Co.Armagh / Co. Down.
Dickson.lanark Scotland / Ballymoney/ Belfast
Porter. Mackeral / Mackerel. Surrey

You can add more than one set of parents to an individual - use the "relationships" tab to view and manage them.

You can set the relevant people as adopted or biological parents, and choose which are shown by default as the "preferred" ones.

Exactly how you do it is partly your own choice and whether you are looking at legal or blood relationships (or both).

Thanks for the valuable advice, this is my first contact of an official  adoption in my family. The other was just left on my aunts doorstep and she kept it, later on she got a certificate. Belfast beau.

I'm back again my family tree maker is part of the Who DO You Think You Are package. It's quite primitive and now out of circulation. I have searched for a relationships tab with out success, can you advise any other method of recording adoption. Belfast beau.
