Chorlton Chapel (Lancs) missing registers

The registers for Chorlton Chapel (Chorlton Manchester) between 1700 and 1750 are very spasmodic. I have tried all the main libraries incl. Chetham's. Any suggestions?

Are we talking Chorlton cum Hardy or Chorlton on Medlock?  C of E chapelry or Non-Conformist chapel?

If C of E, then perhaps the Bishop's Transcripts are available for the missing periods.  If Non-Conformist, then I don't know - they weren't known as Non-Conformists for nothing, as they really were a law unto themselves.  :o 8)

Have you asked Greater Manchester County Records Office?
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Going by the date it may be st Clements chorlton cum hardy, I can find nothing except the info. shown in Familysearch wiki, 1737 onwards, although they may be included in the mother church records.

The Chapel was at Charlton cum Hardy. Built around 1512. According to volume XVII of The Rev John Booker's book 'A History of the Ancient Chapels of Didsbury and Chorlton the early (200+) years of Chorlton Chapel had a rather chequered history with many changes of curate and designation. The churches' BMDs are really only available with any degree of certainty from around 1737 onwards. Prior to this apart from an almost complete BT for 1639 spasmodic records are all that appears to be available.

Try Lancs Parish Clerks online. It has records for both Chorltons. - Oh, and welcome.
Threlfall (Southport), Isherwood (lancs & Canada), Newbould + Topliss(Derby), Keating & Cummins (Ireland + lancs), Fisher, Strong& Casson (all Cumberland) & Downie & Bowie, Linlithgow area Scotland . Also interested in Leigh& Burrows,(Lancashire) Griffiths (Shropshire & lancs), Leaver (Lancs/Yorks) & Anderson(Cumberland and very elusive)
