Donald Cowell and Annie Lavinia McColl m. circa 1908

Need help finding this marriage and/or birth records for them both. I have all the info on their children already. Married in Goondiwindi QLD.

Trying to trace how this family got to Australia. Their daughter Jessie was my great-grandmother.

If you have the children's information then one of their birth certs should say where the parents were born and how long they have been in Australia.

The marriage cert should tell us the parents' names and then possible births could be found for them. There are couple of possibilities in NSW, and as they were married in a border town, I wouldn't discount the possibility.

Actually, do you not have their death certificates?

DONALD McCOLL
Death occurred at his home at Dungog on Tuesday of Mr. Donald McColl, at the age of 70 years. Deceased was a retired station manager. He was born at Gundy near Scone. The late Mr. McColl, at the age of 36, married Miss Annie Lavinia Cowell at Goondiwindi. He is survived by his wife, sons Donald and Ernest, and daughters Jessie and Jean. Deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved in their sad loss. The funeral took place at the Dungog cemetery on Wednesday in the Presbyterian portion. Rev. A. Brown conducted the service, and Mr. James Fleming was the undertaker.
