The Lovel Warren with Mary and her husband on the census was bapt in Wellingborough independent Chapel Northants s/o Thomas and Mary on 29 Jan 1819, so he could be Mary's much older brother and Thomas is older than you think.

This could be the family in 1841

Piece number 814 Book number 4 Folio number 9 Page number 11

Thomas is a clicker, same occupation as Lovel in 1861, think it has something to do with shoes.

Thomas's birth year as 1796 but likely to be rounded. Born in county (Northants)
Berks / Oxon: Eltham, Annetts, Wiltshire (surname not county), Hawkins, Pembroke, Partridge

Yorkshire: Pottage, Carr, Blackburn, Depledge

In 1851 Lovel is living with his wife Harriet in Chelsea, he is manager of a boot and shoe shop.
Can't find Thomas in 1861.

I'm a little confused now, baptism for Lovel gives dob as 1 jan 1819, but then there are baptisms of five children of Thomas and Mary at Northampton Independent  on 30th Jun 1837 (day before civil registration starts - is that significant?)
Thomas born 13 Mar 1819,
James born 5 Nov 1822
John  born 8 mar 1825
George born 16 mar 1828
Mary born 11 Sept 1832

These children seem to match with some of those with Thomas and Mary in 1841, except James is missing and there is an Elizabeth (but only presumed daughter).

Could Lovel's birth actually be earlier than 1 Jan 1819 or is he unrelated?
