The 1921 death could be the Edwin Dunn who married Rosa in 1875, he can be found on census in that area

In 1915, George was married. He lists Edwin as his father and his occupation is a Master Iron Worker. Edwin is not listed as deceased on the certificate. Anytime I've had a certificate and the father is deceased it is written in brackets under his name.


If the clergy did not ask or George did not mention it then it is possible that he had died before the marriage. It is not a question that has to be asked.
