Dolly Shearing

Hi there,

Trying to trace the above person, she was born in 1905 in London. she had several siblings who died during the war, the only remaining sibling being Margaret Shearing. I know she would be deceased by now but cannot seem to find a death certificate. I have been told that she moved to the coast but that is all the information we have.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

On the 1935 Electoral Register there is a Dolly Shearing living at 79 Troughton Road, Greenwich with Joseph and Grace Stevens.

Wonder if she preferred to be called Dorothy in later life as there is this death -

Do you have her birth cert to clarify her birth date?

A free search of the 1939 shows a Dorothy Shearing born 1905 living at Southend on Sea with John Westbury-Jones and 1 more person.

This could tie in with the death record as above.

Cannot find a birth in 1905 of a Dorothy Shearing, only a Dolly Catherine M Shearing is recorded.

If you have access to the 1939 I'd suggest you look to see if she is single.
