This looks like the death of Thomas Snr. in 1869 :-

It is possible that Daniel is a brother to Honora/Norah with the mother given as Ann(/Norah=Hanora or Honora) in 1872?
There is a marriage for a Thomas Power in 1879 to Mary Jane Goodenough and I think the same Daniel is with Thomas and this new wife(as Jane in 1881 and Mary J in 1891).Would need to find an interim death for "Ann"
"Interestingly"all three addresses for Thomas(1827) with Norah and then Mary Jane are related to "Barrack" addresses, suggesting it is the same person.
I wonder if this is still Hannah's Thomas(was a death found for him?).Perhaps they parted and she declared herself a widow?

Regards
Roger

Could the death of Lucy at Barrack Hill in 1871(after her husband's death in 1869) not suggest that the Thomas associated with "Barrack" addresses(and given born 1827) in 1871/81/91 is indeed her son/Hannah's husband?

13th November 1869  a Honora Welsh who has been with Captain Power for 9 years.
Lots of details in this one, but is it our Thomas ?

The second snippet certainly matches the 1871 census as that Thomas(not Captain?) is given as a labourer in the Dos(?) Works.Do you think this article implies they are married("housekeeper"?)?If not,it could still be the same Thomas who marries in 1879(after Hannah's death).
The description of a Captain Power doesn't seem to tie in with a labourer-however I have found a record for Joseph Power(who originally gave his name as Powell!) born 1858 who enlisted at Newport in 1876 who looks like Hannah's son!.

I have just looked up The Dos Works, also known as Cordes. It produced nails as per the Thomas' 1881/1891 occupation,so they do look like the same person across the years 1871-1891 at least.

You are right, so that puts my idea that Thomas the father has died up the spout . So where is Hannah ?
Also Ann Power is a bit odd, if she was the daughter , then did she marry another Power.

1861 Newport St Woollos
Thos Power  64 head b Gloucestershire
 Lucy Power  62 wife
Thos Power son  54 34 married labourer  b Newport
 Ambus Power  son 26
Ann Power daur married  23 soldiers wife ?
 Elizabeth Power dau unm 22
Caroline Power  dau unm 20 dau
 Thos Power grandson  9

Hi again, this Ann Power could be incorrectly shown as her maiden name instead of the possible marriage Dec qtr 1859 Newport of an Ann Power to William Davies Reeves, in 1871 at Bye Road, West Bromwich, Ann & most of the children look to have been born a variation of Gold Top?!
