I was looking on Familysearch 1901 census and there are only 4 Sofie/Sophia/S.A, at North Ferriby. I can't see addresses though. Maybe someone can view the proper census.

"North Ferriby is written at the top of the postcard too (as well as being postmarked) implying that the location of the house.

This seems to give the Payne family having a daughter called Ethel - which fits in with the signature on the card.  So an Ethel Payne working somewhere .....

I think that looks a bit more "Georgian" whereas Carol's house looks Edwardian/Victorian I think.

I found this in Humber Road, North Ferriby. You can only see the house through one end of the driveway, though, the other end is obscured by trees

I think the sender might be Ellen E Richardson (born 1860 Lincoln) to her sister Harriet Elizabeth PAYNE. (born 1867 Lincoln).

She (Harriet) is living at that address in a "certain year".

Agree, Ruskie  - have looked more closely and think Carol's looks more like a Victorian vicarage
